Ched|dar or ched|dar «CHEHD uhr», noun, or Cheddar cheese,
a kind of hard, white or yellow cheese, made from cow's milk. It was made originally at or near Cheddar, England. American cheese, the ordinary yellow and usually softer cheese made in the United States, is a Cheddar.
